The Forge: How the Program Works
The Forge is built around clear phases. Participants progress through structure, skill-building, and preparation for independence while living on-site in Hunt County.
Structure and Expectations
Residents agree to program guidelines that support safety and growth: curfews, participation in group activities and one-on-one meetings, sobriety, and a commitment to personal development. Daily routines include chores, study, work readiness, and mentorship so that habits of responsibility and reliability are reinforced.
Life Skills and Vocational Training
We focus on the skills that help men succeed over the long term: financial literacy, resume writing and interview practice, time management, and healthy communication. Where possible, we connect participants with vocational training and local employers in the Northeast Texas area so they can move into stable work.
Faith and Mentorship
The Forge is faith-centered. Participants are encouraged to grow in their relationship with Christ through Bible study, prayer, and mentoring relationships. Our goal is to support the whole person—spirit, mind, and daily life—as they rebuild.
Phases
The program is organized in phases. Phase One focuses on stability, orientation, and initial goals. Later phases emphasize job placement, savings, and planning for independent living. Length of stay depends on individual progress and readiness.
